Singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Dan Eubanks is best known to national roots audiences as the longtime

bassist and vocalist with Chicago’s acclaimed bluegrass band Special Consensus, contributing to six Compass

Records releases and sharing in multiple IBMA awards and a Grammy nomination during his tenure.

Originally from the St. Louis area, Dan built a wide-ranging musical career after earning degrees in Jazz Studies,

working across jazz, Americana, country, blues, and rock, and teaching at colleges and workshops across North

America.

Now back home in St. Louis, he is touring and recording under his own name, with a new album of original roots

music set for release on Common Loon Records in 2026, led by the single “Rustbelt Town”, already gaining airplay

on SiriusXM and beyond.
