May Erlewine with Packy Lundholm

May Erlewine, one of the Midwest’s most prolific and passionate songwriters, teams up with Chicago guitar wizard Packy Lundholm this summer. The heart-forward power duo will be touring the Midwest, offering their music in the name of love, service, and rock & roll.

Erlewine met Lundholm behind the drum kit during the recording of the album Anyway, a collaboration with Woody Goss. During the overdub process, Packy picked up an acoustic guitar to strum the chords to the song “Days Go By.” For May, time stood still. Perhaps Chicago was trying to keep Packy Lundholm’s guitar playing a secret, but it’s no secret, he’s one of the greatest to do it.

Erlewine and Lundholm began performing as a duo opening for Theo Katzman on his international Be the Wheel tour. Packy, also the guitarist in Theo’s band, would play both sets each night. It didn’t take long to realize this musical duo was meant to be.

Something special happens when May and Packy take the stage, and it has a lot to do with surrender. Humbly falling at the feet of music, these two make room for feeling and connection by offering the depth of their hearts to the audience. Welcome to the moment everyone, it’s never gonna be the same again.
