Mulebone is a partnership comprised of multi-instrumentalist John Ragusa and roots music specialist Hugh Pool. The launching pad for their musical expression is traditional blues. Equally at home in the worlds of Blues, Folk, and Roots music, Mulebone breaks new ground with an original sound that is soulful, agile and adventurous. Sometimes the Duo plays close to the source, at other moments they seem to float above it and take a new look as one seeing their home for the first time from a distant land. W.C. Handy-winning author Don Wilcox wrote, “Mulebone takes old blues and folk music into space as well as anyone since Led Zeppelin covered Sonny Boy Williamson.” NY Blues Hall of Fame Master Artist Hugh Pool plays the National Steel, electric, cigar box and acoustic guitars, harmonica, stomps on a boot-board, and sings lead vocals all with a mouth full of whisky and a giant heart. John Ragusa plays all manner of flutes, fifes and tin whistles, the cornet, conch shell, jews harp, and well … anything he can put his lips on. He also sings harmony vocals, perfectly complimenting Pool's. The result is a sum greater than the parts; more sound, texture and groove than two people should be legally allowed to make. Mulebone's first four albums earned position in the Top 100 on the AMA Roots/Americana chart; and their album, “Keep On Movin,'” was the only independent release in the Top 40 for 12 weeks, and spent more than five months in the Top 100. Mulebone’s 6th album “Cure for the Miseries” has just been released for their 2026 Summer Tour and is available at Mulebonemusic.com and on Bandcamp. “Jump-out-of-your-seats! The NYC-based duo known as Mulebone is a self-contained showcase of American roots music. “ ALLAN PEPPER, THE BOTTOM LINE, NYC “Some of the best blues you're likely to hear this side of 1925” JEFF RASPE, Music Wizard WBJB-FM; 90.5 "The Night”

There’s something about Marty O’Reilly’s music that feels like it’s always been here, like an old story being told in a new way. His voice is raw and real, his guitar playing gritty and soulful. It’s music that doesn’t try to be anything other than honest, and that’s why it hits so hard.He pulls inspiration from the roots of Americana; his sound references folk greats like Woody Guthrie, blues legends like Howlin’ Wolf, gospel pioneers like Sister Rosetta Thorpe, and master storytellers like Tom Waits. It’s a sound that captivates and connects audiences, and leaves them wanting more. His live shows aren’t just concerts, they’re cathartic experiences. One moment it’s soft and haunting, the next it’s wild and electric. The kind that stay with you long after the lights come up.But it’s not just about the sound. Marty’s songs dig deep into the human experience, loneliness, connection, love, loss. Whether it’s an intimate solo set or a full band show, he makes every audience feel like they’re part of the story.Over the years, Marty has built a dedicated following through relentless touring and staying true to his craft. He’s shared the stage with artists like Shakey Graves, St. Paul & The Broken Bones, Sarah Jarosz, and Alice O’Donovan and played at festivals like Bottlerock, SXSW, and High Sierra Music Festival, but his focus has always been on making music that means something.Marty has poured everything into his music, spending years on the road, self-funding his albums, and navigating the ups and downs of life as an independent artist, husband, and father. But through it all, he’s never lost sight of why he started: to make honest music that connects. If you’re looking for music that feels real, that makes you stop and listen, Marty O’Reilly is someone you need to hear. ***THIS SHOW IS ON THE 2ND FLOOR & ACCESSIBLE ONLY BY STAIRS.
Sweet Megg is a genre-blending vocalist and songwriter, weaving jazz, country, and blues into a sound that feels both timeless and fresh. Originally from NYC and now based in Nashville, she has traveled the world honing her craft everywhere from Parisian jazz clubs to Southern honky-tonks.Her last studio album, Never Been Home (#23 on the Americana charts and #1 on the Alt-Country Radio charts), showcased her signature writing style through 12 eclectic original Americana songs. She is currently writing her next original album and, in the meantime, releasing a new jazz album, Massive Negroni.Massive Negroni, recorded in 2021 at Old Soul Studios, is a quartet record featuring guitarist Thor Jensen (Ashley Campbell, Hazmat Modine, Postmodern Jukebox), bassist Dylan Perillo (Hot Club of Saratoga), and drummer Chris Gelb (JD McPherson, Jessica Simpson, Margo Price, Asleep at the Wheel). The album spans material from Tom Waits to Sugar Pie DeSanto to Duke Ellington and can best be described as Americana jazz. This is her first full-length jazz album released independently, and that creative freedom is reflected in the quartet’s boldly individual sound. Guided solely by Sweet Megg’s vision, the music highlights the distinct personalities of each musician, resulting in a jazz record that feels curious, playful, and deeply personal—one she’s thrilled to share. She began her career performing in dingy bars, coffee shops, and DIY loft venues of the East Village and Brooklyn. At 22, she moved to Paris to study jazz vocals, gigging across the city before returning to New York to spend a decade as a full-time jazz vocalist, steeped in the traditions of early jazz and blues. Her debut indie-jazz album, Under the Moonlight (2020), released on Bushwick’s Dala Records, caught the attention of Scott Asen, trustee of The Paris Review, who launched Turtle Bay Records with Megg as one of its debut artists. This partnership produced I’m in Love Again (2021) before she relocated to Nashville, where she wrote and produced her first studio original album, Christine’s Daughter, with renowned Nashville producer Roger Moutenot. In Nashville, she released 2 more albums blending jazz and country: My Window Faces the South (2022) and Bluer than Blue (2023). Megg toured globally with Postmodern Jukebox from 2021 to 2023, including a viral 1920s-style collaboration, and later led a Cirque du Soleil country music project.¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶ Sequoia Rose is a bluegrass musician whose music bridges the timeless soul of Appalachian tradition with a fresh, heartfelt voice. Raised in the hills of southwestern Pennsylvania, Sequoia grew up immersed in the sounds of bluegrass, folk, and old-time country—music that felt as natural and essential as the landscape around them. From a young age, Sequoia found a deep connection to music through songwriting and guitar, developing a style rooted in emotional honesty and melodic storytelling. Drawing from the rich musical heritage of their upbringing, their sound is both grounded and evolving—respecting the past while carving a unique path forward. Now living in Nashville, Tennessee, Sequoia is part of a new generation of artists breathing life into bluegrass with authenticity and creativity. Whether on stage or in the studio, their performances are marked by sincerity, soul, and a clear reverence for the genre’s roots. Sequoia Rose’s music speaks to life’s quieter truths—the beauty in everyday moments, the pull of the natural world, and the stories that tie us all together.
Madeleine Kelson has been writing and performing music since childhood, developing a unique, country-leaning style of Americana laced with elements of rock and blues. She spent her early career performing with her twin sister in Chicago band The Kelson Twins at iconic venues across including House of Blues, and the Athenaeum Theater. In 2015, The Kelson Twins crowdfunded over $10,000 to record their debut EP, Best of (So Far), which led to their 2016 Top Daytrotter Session performance for Paste Magazine. They released a string of soulful, well-received follow-up singles before branching out to pursue solo careers in separate states. In 2016 Kelson moved to Nashville and launch her solo career. She won the 2017 International Bluegrass Music Association’s Songwriter Showcase. In 2018 she released her acclaimed solo debut, Siren, an introspective 5-song EP with clean, melodic vocals backed by elegant countermelodies on violin. Praised by press for its genre-defying, sparse style and emotional richness, Siren earned Kelson comparisons to both Amos Lee and Gillian Welch. Her debut full-length solo album, While I Was Away, expands her lyrical focus to the world around her: “Lately I’ve been reflecting more on the people in my life, how their lives intertwine and change. This album looks back at my past few years in Nashville—all the people and experiences that have shaped me since leaving Chicago.” There’s an alluring depth to Kelson’s vocals—a balance of sophistication and compelling vulnerability: Her voice is perfectly pure, yet deeply human. Written and produced by Kelson, While I Was Away showcases her ability to transform natural melodic lines and simple, narrative lyrics into moving and well-rounded anthems. The songs are laced with tight vocal harmonies reminiscent of early Grand Ole' Opry performances, creating an inviting mix of lively Americana spirit and candid, classic country heart. Since the release of her album, Kelson was named by NPR as one of 10 rising artists in Nashville, and was chosen as a finalist in Kerrville Folk Festival’s NewFolk competition.¶ ¶ ¶ ¶ ¶ ¶ ¶ ¶ ¶ ¶ Luxembourgish/American folk musician Levi Lamberjack has always been on a journey to bring new life to old sounds, drawing inspirations from the Appalachian folk, blues, jazz, and country music bred in the land he grew up in. His eclectic repertoire brings a unique timbre to his sound, yet the listener still feels a sense of familiarity and a sacred sort of rootedness. His smooth and confident vocals and old-timey guitar are sure to intrigue, and hopefully touch and inspire. Drawing inspiration from pioneers and revivalists of traditional folk music recording such as Dave Van Ronk, Ramblin' Jack Elliott, and Mississippi John Hurt, and later from the heartfelt new songs of Blaze Foley, Tom Paxton, and Utah Phillips, Levi blends the ailments of ages past with the very real trials of modern society and personal woes. Modern comparisons include C.W. Stoneking, Willie Watson, and Jeffrey Martin. Lamberjack gained his experience from the small DIY music scenes of central Indiana, sparking a deep interest in music, and, when he moved to the northern part of the state, discovering a newfound love for his roots. He now lives between Berlin, Germany, and South Bend, Indiana, and has found a place in each city’s mighty music scenes. ***THIS SHOW IS ON THE 2ND FLOOR & ACCESSIBLE ONLY BY STAIRS.
Acoustic adventurers Stillhouse Junkies explore the worlds between roots, bluegrass, Texas swing, blues, and rock. Their free-flowing musical interplay and improvisation make every show unique as the trio weave through high-energy, intricately composed original songs, never taking the same path twice. Formed in 2017, the band consists of Fred Kosak (guitar, mandolin), Alissa Wolf (fiddle), and Jeanette Adams (bass):Alissa Wolf began studying the violin at age 8. She followed her heart to numerous summer academies and has studied intensively through the Music in the Mountains Conservatory, the Sewanee Summer Music Festival, Meadowmount School of Music, the Mark O’Connor Fiddle Conference, and the Berklee College of Music Summer Programs. Inspired by attending local folk festivals such as the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, Alissa began exploring all types of music beyond classical including bluegrass, swing, and jazz. Through this she found her true passion – improvisation. While she attained a B.A. from the University of Puget Sound, she continued to play for the love of music. Fred Kosak has been musically active since first taking up the guitar at age 15. During the course of his career as a professional musician, he has played in numerous ensembles of varying styles and instrumentations, ranging from funk cover bands to intimate acoustic duets. Over the past 15 years, Fred has played mandolin and guitar with numerous New England and Colorado-based roots musicians and acts, including Billy Wylder, Three Tall Pines, Acousticana, Creek River String Band, Ethan Robbins (Cold Chocolate), Greg Lizst (Crooked Still), Zach Hickman (Josh Ritter), the Professors of Bluegrass from Yale University, the Badly Bent, and more. In addition to his facility with a broad range of musical styles, he is a seasoned performer with experience at major festivals and storied venues alike. Jeanette “Showtime” Adams is originally from Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and now calls Glenwood Springs, Colorado her home. She first picked up the bass as a joke in 5th grade, never expecting it would become a lifelong passion. Jeanette earned her Bachelor of Music in Bass Performance from the Lawrence Conservatory of Music in Wisconsin. With a diverse background spanning classical, jazz, contemporary, bluegrass, and folk, she brings versatility and depth to her playing. In addition to performing, Jeanette is a dedicated educator, maintaining a private studio and working with the Aspen Music Festival’s after school programs. ***THIS SHOW IS ON THE 2ND FLOOR & ACCESSIBLE ONLY BY STAIRS.
