There’s something about Marty O’Reilly’s music that feels like it’s always been here, like an old story being told in a new way. His voice is raw and real, his guitar playing gritty and soulful. It’s music that doesn’t try to be anything other than honest, and that’s why it hits so hard.He pulls inspiration from the roots of Americana; his sound references folk greats like Woody Guthrie, blues legends like Howlin’ Wolf, gospel pioneers like Sister Rosetta Thorpe, and master storytellers like Tom Waits. It’s a sound that captivates and connects audiences, and leaves them wanting more. His live shows aren’t just concerts, they’re cathartic experiences. One moment it’s soft and haunting, the next it’s wild and electric. The kind that stay with you long after the lights come up.But it’s not just about the sound. Marty’s songs dig deep into the human experience, loneliness, connection, love, loss. Whether it’s an intimate solo set or a full band show, he makes every audience feel like they’re part of the story.Over the years, Marty has built a dedicated following through relentless touring and staying true to his craft. He’s shared the stage with artists like Shakey Graves, St. Paul & The Broken Bones, Sarah Jarosz, and Alice O’Donovan and played at festivals like Bottlerock, SXSW, and High Sierra Music Festival, but his focus has always been on making music that means something.Marty has poured everything into his music, spending years on the road, self-funding his albums, and navigating the ups and downs of life as an independent artist, husband, and father. But through it all, he’s never lost sight of why he started: to make honest music that connects. If you’re looking for music that feels real, that makes you stop and listen, Marty O’Reilly is someone you need to hear. ***THIS SHOW IS ON THE 2ND FLOOR & ACCESSIBLE ONLY BY STAIRS.
Sweet Megg is a genre-blending vocalist and songwriter, weaving jazz, country, and blues into a sound that feels both timeless and fresh. Originally from NYC and now based in Nashville, she has traveled the world honing her craft everywhere from Parisian jazz clubs to Southern honky-tonks.Her last studio album, Never Been Home (#23 on the Americana charts and #1 on the Alt-Country Radio charts), showcased her signature writing style through 12 eclectic original Americana songs. She is currently writing her next original album and, in the meantime, releasing a new jazz album, Massive Negroni.Massive Negroni, recorded in 2021 at Old Soul Studios, is a quartet record featuring guitarist Thor Jensen (Ashley Campbell, Hazmat Modine, Postmodern Jukebox), bassist Dylan Perillo (Hot Club of Saratoga), and drummer Chris Gelb (JD McPherson, Jessica Simpson, Margo Price, Asleep at the Wheel). The album spans material from Tom Waits to Sugar Pie DeSanto to Duke Ellington and can best be described as Americana jazz. This is her first full-length jazz album released independently, and that creative freedom is reflected in the quartet’s boldly individual sound. Guided solely by Sweet Megg’s vision, the music highlights the distinct personalities of each musician, resulting in a jazz record that feels curious, playful, and deeply personal—one she’s thrilled to share. She began her career performing in dingy bars, coffee shops, and DIY loft venues of the East Village and Brooklyn. At 22, she moved to Paris to study jazz vocals, gigging across the city before returning to New York to spend a decade as a full-time jazz vocalist, steeped in the traditions of early jazz and blues. Her debut indie-jazz album, Under the Moonlight (2020), released on Bushwick’s Dala Records, caught the attention of Scott Asen, trustee of The Paris Review, who launched Turtle Bay Records with Megg as one of its debut artists. This partnership produced I’m in Love Again (2021) before she relocated to Nashville, where she wrote and produced her first studio original album, Christine’s Daughter, with renowned Nashville producer Roger Moutenot. In Nashville, she released 2 more albums blending jazz and country: My Window Faces the South (2022) and Bluer than Blue (2023). Megg toured globally with Postmodern Jukebox from 2021 to 2023, including a viral 1920s-style collaboration, and later led a Cirque du Soleil country music project.¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶ Sequoia Rose is a bluegrass musician whose music bridges the timeless soul of Appalachian tradition with a fresh, heartfelt voice. Raised in the hills of southwestern Pennsylvania, Sequoia grew up immersed in the sounds of bluegrass, folk, and old-time country—music that felt as natural and essential as the landscape around them. From a young age, Sequoia found a deep connection to music through songwriting and guitar, developing a style rooted in emotional honesty and melodic storytelling. Drawing from the rich musical heritage of their upbringing, their sound is both grounded and evolving—respecting the past while carving a unique path forward. Now living in Nashville, Tennessee, Sequoia is part of a new generation of artists breathing life into bluegrass with authenticity and creativity. Whether on stage or in the studio, their performances are marked by sincerity, soul, and a clear reverence for the genre’s roots. Sequoia Rose’s music speaks to life’s quieter truths—the beauty in everyday moments, the pull of the natural world, and the stories that tie us all together.
Founded in 2015 by Sam Stewart and Cody Singleton, Flagman has been churning out a steady flow of deep fried Alternative Metal that can only be rivaled by those trailblazers that pioneered the sound. Wearing the influences of 90’s Schizo-Rockers like Primus and Mr. Bungle along with the heaviness and wacky irreverence of System of a Down on their sleeves, Flagman has forged a sound that is as unique as it is familiar. The last several years have seen Flagman hitting the road frequently and supporting bands such as Battles, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, Hed PE, Man on Man and more. Despite various line up changes, touring challenges and the many other hurdles that accompany bands in the modern age, Flagman remains committed to delivering their brand of ADHD Alt Metal that has set them apart from their peers. ¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶ McWeakerton are a rock band out of Grand Rapids, Michigan. ***THIS SHOW IS ON THE 2ND FLOOR & ACCESSIBLE ONLY BY STAIRS.
Madeleine Kelson has been writing and performing music since childhood, developing a unique, country-leaning style of Americana laced with elements of rock and blues. She spent her early career performing with her twin sister in Chicago band The Kelson Twins at iconic venues across including House of Blues, and the Athenaeum Theater. In 2015, The Kelson Twins crowdfunded over $10,000 to record their debut EP, Best of (So Far), which led to their 2016 Top Daytrotter Session performance for Paste Magazine. They released a string of soulful, well-received follow-up singles before branching out to pursue solo careers in separate states. In 2016 Kelson moved to Nashville and launch her solo career. She won the 2017 International Bluegrass Music Association’s Songwriter Showcase. In 2018 she released her acclaimed solo debut, Siren, an introspective 5-song EP with clean, melodic vocals backed by elegant countermelodies on violin. Praised by press for its genre-defying, sparse style and emotional richness, Siren earned Kelson comparisons to both Amos Lee and Gillian Welch. Her debut full-length solo album, While I Was Away, expands her lyrical focus to the world around her: “Lately I’ve been reflecting more on the people in my life, how their lives intertwine and change. This album looks back at my past few years in Nashville—all the people and experiences that have shaped me since leaving Chicago.” There’s an alluring depth to Kelson’s vocals—a balance of sophistication and compelling vulnerability: Her voice is perfectly pure, yet deeply human. Written and produced by Kelson, While I Was Away showcases her ability to transform natural melodic lines and simple, narrative lyrics into moving and well-rounded anthems. The songs are laced with tight vocal harmonies reminiscent of early Grand Ole' Opry performances, creating an inviting mix of lively Americana spirit and candid, classic country heart. Since the release of her album, Kelson was named by NPR as one of 10 rising artists in Nashville, and was chosen as a finalist in Kerrville Folk Festival’s NewFolk competition.¶ ¶ ¶ ¶ ¶ ¶ ¶ ¶ ¶ ¶ Luxembourgish/American folk musician Levi Lamberjack has always been on a journey to bring new life to old sounds, drawing inspirations from the Appalachian folk, blues, jazz, and country music bred in the land he grew up in. His eclectic repertoire brings a unique timbre to his sound, yet the listener still feels a sense of familiarity and a sacred sort of rootedness. His smooth and confident vocals and old-timey guitar are sure to intrigue, and hopefully touch and inspire. Drawing inspiration from pioneers and revivalists of traditional folk music recording such as Dave Van Ronk, Ramblin' Jack Elliott, and Mississippi John Hurt, and later from the heartfelt new songs of Blaze Foley, Tom Paxton, and Utah Phillips, Levi blends the ailments of ages past with the very real trials of modern society and personal woes. Modern comparisons include C.W. Stoneking, Willie Watson, and Jeffrey Martin. Lamberjack gained his experience from the small DIY music scenes of central Indiana, sparking a deep interest in music, and, when he moved to the northern part of the state, discovering a newfound love for his roots. He now lives between Berlin, Germany, and South Bend, Indiana, and has found a place in each city’s mighty music scenes. ***THIS SHOW IS ON THE 2ND FLOOR & ACCESSIBLE ONLY BY STAIRS.
A. Lee (Alan) Edwards has been making music for 30 years. But his new music represents a rebirth of sorts. Produced by Alan Lee Edwards and mixed by the legendary John Wood (the man behind the boards for Nick Drake, Fairport Convention, John Cale, Squeeze, and Richard and Linda Thompson), Interpreting Heart Sounds Vol. I is a major milestone in a career that has already spawned 5 albums—3 under the aegis of “Lou Ford” and two under the handle of “The Loudermilks.” Recorded at the famed Echo Mountain Recording Studios in Asheville, North Carolina, it was engineered by Kenny Harrington, mixed and mastered by the team at Well Made Music in Bristol, TN, and pressed locally at Citizen Vinyl in Asheville.“A. Lee is close to John Prine in his ability to be a storyteller of simpler times with a pinch of humor & partaking of the grape." – Americana Highways¶ ¶ ¶ ¶ ¶ ¶ ¶ ¶ ¶ Goldpine's aggressive Americana is a flawless channel for bold compositions. In 2025, the duo released their third album, Three, which collects stories of sorrow, tested-love, and space-trips. Mastered by Dave McNair (Shovels & Rope, Lauren Daigle), the album was captured from a mash of actual live performances on the road in 2024, showcasing the duo’s live energy. From Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion to NPR's Mountain Stage to Arrowhead Stadium to listening rooms throughout the United States, Goldpine offer their own brand of bold harmony-driven Americana. ***THIS SHOW IS ON THE 2ND FLOOR & ACCESSIBLE ONLY BY STAIRS.
Johnny Mullenax, a Tulsa native, grew up in a musical family. He started playing the guitar at age 5. In his teens, he followed his family to the Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, Kansas. In typical Johnny fashion, he showed up with just a guitar and ended up sleeping in a stand up bass case. At 18, he used a friend’s ID to get into a club where he was part of a live hip-hop band backing rappers. According to Johnny, “Life is too short to play one style of music, and if you have an opportunity to try something different then you should give it a shot.” Claiming wide-ranging influences from AC/DC and The Ramones to John Coltrane and Parliament, Johnny calls his genre-bending sound a funky country bluegrass good time! ***THIS SHOW IS ON THE 2ND FLOOR & ACCESSIBLE ONLY BY STAIRS.
People discover Chuck Ragan in different ways. Some people know Ragan from the pioneering punk act Hot Water Music he’s co-fronted for the past three decades. Others are aware of his successful solo career or the Revival Tour, a collection of traveling troubadours that included his peers like Frank Turner and the Gaslight Anthem’s Brian Fallon. Some folks may have even come across him from the successful fly fishing operation he runs out of Grass Valley, California. The one throughline through all this is the way that Ragan approaches everything with a level of honesty and integrity that can’t be faked—and that sentiment is undeniable on Love And Lore, his first solo collection in ten years and one that’s being released as Hot Water Music take a well-deserved victory lap for their breakout album Vows, which came out earlier this year.In some ways, it’s a miracle that Love And Lore even exists. The album was first conceptualized by Ragan in 2016, studio time was booked in 2019 and right before the recording was set to take place, COVID happened and all of Ragan’s musical projects had to be put on hold so he could focus on his fishing operation to provide for his family. “We got serious about making this album again in 2022, but I didn’t have a ton of time to devote to it between being physically exhausted and having a toddler,” he admits. “It was just chaos.” (This also includes a tree falling on guitarist/pedal steel/multi-instrumentalist Todd Beene’s house.) Eventually Love And Lore was recorded in early 2023 and the result is an album that showcases Ragan further transcending the “folk” label to create a collection of songs that see him stretching out as a songwriter to fearlessly explore new sonic territory.Lyrically, the album sees Ragan digging deep into his own psyche to craft lyrics that are brutally honest when it comes to themes such as relationships, family and the daily struggles that are an inherent part of living. “There’s so much heartbreak that comes with this life and I’m not just talking about myself, I’m talking about the people around me,” Ragan explains. “As someone who spends a lot of time away from my loved ones, there’s a lot of darkness at times and a lot of questions—and a lot of these songs are very much reflective of that and very much about therapy and finding peace and solace in nature, on the water and with loved ones, you know?” In that spirit, the stripped-down acoustic ballad “Reel My Heart” sees Ragan exploring the way balancing life on the road with his family obligations can still feel like a Sisyphean task much of the time. “I have a tradition that when we finish something, I want to sit down and put that record on and I want to listen to it… and it may be the last time I listen to it for a long time,” Ragan explains. “Because that to me is when there’s closure: All those songs, all those feelings, all those thoughts, all of those things I needed to get off my chest and out of my head—and I’m not talking about just me, but a whole village makes this happen. When I can put a record on and play both sides and take it off, stick it in the sleeve and put it on the shelf, then I can find some peace.” ***THIS SHOW IS ON THE 2ND FLOOR & ACCESSIBLE ONLY BY STAIRS.
Acoustic adventurers Stillhouse Junkies explore the worlds between roots, bluegrass, Texas swing, blues, and rock. Their free-flowing musical interplay and improvisation make every show unique as the trio weave through high-energy, intricately composed original songs, never taking the same path twice. Formed in 2017, the band consists of Fred Kosak (guitar, mandolin), Alissa Wolf (fiddle), and Jeanette Adams (bass):Alissa Wolf began studying the violin at age 8. She followed her heart to numerous summer academies and has studied intensively through the Music in the Mountains Conservatory, the Sewanee Summer Music Festival, Meadowmount School of Music, the Mark O’Connor Fiddle Conference, and the Berklee College of Music Summer Programs. Inspired by attending local folk festivals such as the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, Alissa began exploring all types of music beyond classical including bluegrass, swing, and jazz. Through this she found her true passion – improvisation. While she attained a B.A. from the University of Puget Sound, she continued to play for the love of music. Fred Kosak has been musically active since first taking up the guitar at age 15. During the course of his career as a professional musician, he has played in numerous ensembles of varying styles and instrumentations, ranging from funk cover bands to intimate acoustic duets. Over the past 15 years, Fred has played mandolin and guitar with numerous New England and Colorado-based roots musicians and acts, including Billy Wylder, Three Tall Pines, Acousticana, Creek River String Band, Ethan Robbins (Cold Chocolate), Greg Lizst (Crooked Still), Zach Hickman (Josh Ritter), the Professors of Bluegrass from Yale University, the Badly Bent, and more. In addition to his facility with a broad range of musical styles, he is a seasoned performer with experience at major festivals and storied venues alike. Jeanette “Showtime” Adams is originally from Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and now calls Glenwood Springs, Colorado her home. She first picked up the bass as a joke in 5th grade, never expecting it would become a lifelong passion. Jeanette earned her Bachelor of Music in Bass Performance from the Lawrence Conservatory of Music in Wisconsin. With a diverse background spanning classical, jazz, contemporary, bluegrass, and folk, she brings versatility and depth to her playing. In addition to performing, Jeanette is a dedicated educator, maintaining a private studio and working with the Aspen Music Festival’s after school programs. ***THIS SHOW IS ON THE 2ND FLOOR & ACCESSIBLE ONLY BY STAIRS.
Erik Koskinen is an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer, whose music is not categorized by sub-genres. Stylistically he is on his own while heavily influenced by American roots music. The rhythmic integrity and musical tone is as important as the lyrical content and the artistic intent. Koskinen has reverently entered the anthology of uniquely crafted wry songs with the likes of Woody Guthrie and Ry Cooder while speaking as plainly as your neighbor. The Minneapolis Star Tribune calls Koskinen “the real deal” and “The best country songwriter in Minnesota.”A fixture of the American roots scene, Koskinen has earned praise from Rolling Stone Country for his "authentic voice and vivid storytelling," while No Depression has called him "one of the best songwriters in the Midwest." His music draws comparisons to artists like John Prine and Steve Earle, yet his sound remains uniquely grounded in the landscapes and working-class stories of the Upper Midwest. Critics frequently point to the emotional honesty and craftsmanship of his writing-songs that feel lived-in, reflective, and deeply human. On stage, the Erik Koskinen Band brings those songs to life with muscular musicianship and a warm, road-tested chemistry. The result is a performance that moves easily between intimate storytelling and electrified roots rock, creating a show that is both powerful and deeply personal.************************ Drew Peterson is an independent Americana singer-songwriter who has captivated fans across the Midwest for over 20 years. Since fronting the Minnesota-based group Forty Watt Bulb, Peterson has spawned two other successful Roots projects; the twangy, upbeat Dead Pigeons and bluegrass-influenced Boxstore Bird. Peterson comes from a long line of musically inept Norwegian Farmers (unless you count Grandpa Pops, the town drunk, who played the harmonica and the concertina for booze). Not born with musical talent, his mom bought him a guitar at a church rummage sale for $5 and it was then he decided he wanted to become a musician. Growing up on a farm in rural Minnesota, he tackled this endeavor the way he had been taught - hard work and lots of practice. And practice is what he’s been doing for 20 years. His passion has always been crafting lyrics and songwriting. Peterson has built a unique brand that transcends the genre. With clever, dry humor and thought- provoking lyrics, Peterson’s music is like oil over gravel. Drawing on influences from John Prine, Tom Waits, Cat Stevens, Van Morrison, among others, Peterson offers the world upbeat tunes with a soft- spoken gravitas that belies his years. With a performance style that can transform from intimate listening room to rowdy festivals and bars, Peterson always gives his heart and soul to the stage. And with each new performance, he works to connect with the audience through storytelling.************************Dellwood is a duo of young musicians with enough skill and talent to entertain for hours and a repertoire that's bound to capture the hearts of music lovers of all ages. They have an energetic and diverse stage presence with songs ranging from originals and Americana to their spin on an assortment of your favorite songs. ***THIS SHOW IS ON THE 2ND FLOOR & ACCESSIBLE ONLY BY STAIRS.
